Membership

As a volunteer-led organization, member dues are vital to help us further our educational mission. Annual dues of $20 may be paid online, mailed, or delivered in person at our regular meeting held on the first Sunday of the month.

Meetings

We meet 10 AM – 11:30 AM on the first Sunday of every month and welcome everyone from the experienced beekeeper to the novice beekeeper to the not-yet-a-beekeeper. Meetings provide an opportunity for members to ask questions and get expert advice on hive management.

Special thanks to EDCO Recycling for being a good neighbor and providing meeting space as a community service.

Long Beach Beekeepers encourage safe, sustainable and responsible beekeeping practices.

Current classes include Beekeeping 101 held 8 AM – 9:30 AM on the first Saturday of the month (weather permitting) and Bee Prepared, a four-week course designed to turn non-beekeepers into backyard beekeepers. Classes held at the South 40 Community Garden courtesy of Long Beach Organic.
