Dr. Judy Wu-Smart at Long Beach Beer Lab

Dr. Judy Wu-Smart will regale us with the tale of her pesticide detective work, and lead a hive troubleshooting discussion. (She’s seen a lot of things go wrong with beehives!)

Dr. Wu-Smart leads the Bee Lab at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where she splits her time between research and UNL’s Extension (https://entomology.unl.edu/faculty/dr-judy-wu-smart). She’s presented to the Long Beach Beekeepers in the past, and has had a great deal of practice explaining what happens When Good Hives go Bad. And she’s an artist on the side. Is there anything this woman can’t do?
