Volunteers Needed for Hive Box Evaluation

The club was gifted with a mother lode of used hive boxes and other beekeeping gear. Many thanks to all of you who helped paint and clean up the equipment earlier this year. We are meeting again to evaluate the hives and determine how to best to use them.

Some of the gear will be put to good use by our community partners at 4-H, the Compton Community Garden, Hives for Heroes, Sowing Seeds of Change and the Wilmington Community Garden. 

Join us at the WIllow Springs Bee Sanctuary and help us get the gear situated by sorting and removing previous owner's identification from the boxes. Recommended to bring: hive tool, putty scraper, wire brush, work gloves and water bottle. Don't have those items? Don't worry! We can still use your help! Can't stay the whole time?
