Long Beach Beekeepers
This month we are lucky enough to have not one but TWO presenters!
Worried about the weather? Climate change is placing unique stress on our bees. Join us as Luis Angel Frausto from UC Riverside speaks about his research on heat tolerance in bees. He has a professional interest as well - he is a commercial beekeeper using 'survivor' bees in Mexico. Come hear him speak about his experience and his findings on how the bees manage the heat. He will give us lots to buzz about!
Lessons from the hive. 'Survivor' bee lesson with George Garcia! Needing to requeen a hive of survivor bees, George discovered some invaluable lessons. Listen in and learn how to help a queen survive the experience!
AGENDA
