Monthly Meeting

What level of pests inside your hive is acceptable? What steps should you take when this threshold is reached? Integrated Pest Management (IPM) provides a science-based and sustainable decision-making process that uses pest biology, environmental data and technology to minimize the cost as well as risks to people property and the environment. Remember, we are all connected! Join us to hear board member Mike Pack explain how to use IPM in the apiary.  A retired environmental horticulture teacher, Mike has an extensive IPM background as well as five-plus years as a beekeeper. 

Long Beach Beekeepers meet on the first Sunday of the month and welcome everyone from the experienced to the novice beekeeper to those just curious about beekeeping. The in-person meeting is open to the general public. Members who opt to attend online will be emailed the meeting link and passcode.

In addition to a guest speaker, meetings feature a Honey of the Month tasting and an opportunity drawing. What a sweet deal!
