Volunteer Hub: Cornerstone Homeschool Group

REGISTRATION OPENS AUGUST 1.

Hello! We have been invited to present to a group of homeschooled kids. We need a few ENTHUSIASTIC, kid-loving beeks to assist us. Can we count on YOU? No experience is required. 

Cornerstone Homeschool Group is looking for a one hour presentation on:

• General Overview of Honey Bees
• Beekeeping basics and tools (Bring your tools)
• Bee anatomy and life cycle
• Pollination and its benefits

Number of students: about 20-40 students

Age range: between Pre-K and 9th grade

Presentation time: 10-11 AM (please arrive at least by 9:45 to setup)

Location: Park near Cerritos and Lakewood area, (TBD)

Looking for at least 3 volunteers to teach in 3 groups: Pre-K to 1st grade, 2nd-5th grade, and 6th-9th grade.

Notes: Educational hands-on activity encouraged as part of presentation to engage students' attention and deepen understanding.
