Join Di LaPlume and MISS CORDELIA, our very own OC Fair 2019 Best of Show Honey Winner, for a fun Zoom tutorial on how to bring home your own blue or black ribbon! We'll cover some tips and tricks we learned along the way, to help you inch your way up the ranks. We will also cover deadlines, rules, dropoff info, and everything else you need to know to keep things stress-free. Save about 12-14 ounces of your best backyard honey for this tutorial, processed by gravity or extractor only -- NO CRUSH-AND-STRAIN. A short list of materials will be provided upon registration. If you don’t have any honey now, come along for the ride and get ready for Summer 2026.
NOTE: A Queenline jar is required for submission to the OC Fair. The club has purchased one box for members who would like to purchase a jar (for now, limit one per registrant — please email if you need a second jar). If you would like to purchase a jar, please register as a paying participant, for $3. Pickup options: (1) You may pick up your jar at the June 1 club meeting; (2) Di/Cordelia will deliver locally (Long Beach/Lakewood) via porch drop during the first week of June; (3) You may porch pickup from Jaime's in Lakewood during the first week of June (address will be provided, as needed).
