Our friends at Long Beach Beer Lab are brewing something special for us - a honey fig lager made with honey from our very own apiary! Come to the release party to see - and taste! - what all the buzz is about. Drink up because Long Beach Beer Lab will make a donation to the club based on honey fig lager sales that day.
Fun fact! The honey is from our Willow-Springs Bee Sanctuary. Any and all members who participated in a hive inspection or harvested harvest from the Sanctuary from January through July of last year or attended the honey extraction workshop played a role in the production of this honey. The Sanctuary is located just 1.6 miles from Long Beach Beer Lab by car so even closer by flight, well within a bee's flight range. Did the bees forage in the Beer Lab neighborhood? Maybe! If you want local honey, this is IT!
If your January is dry or you just don't drink beer, we've got you covered. The Beer Lab is making a refreshing non-alcoholic slushee with Sanctuary honey for the event. Yum! Their pizzas are fantastic and provide one last way to enjoy our honey. The chef is crafting a specialty pizza with honey for the release party.
