Apiary Tour

The Apiary Tour provides a glimpse into the secret lives of honeybees and honey production. We will suit up in protective beekeeping gear and inspect hives at our Willow Springs Bee Sanctuary. Please note this is a private event not open to the general public. Registration code required.

1. ONLINE REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED IN ADVANCE, INCLUDING GUESTS. NO DROP-INS OR EXTRA PEOPLE.
2. No prior experience needed.
3. Long Beach Beekeepers will provide a loaner beekeeping jacket and gloves to all participants. Please provide jacket size at time of registration and note all jackets are men's sizes.
4. Wear long, thick, loose pants, such as jeans; closed toed shoes or boots to protect your ankles; and thick, long socks. Anyone without proper coverage will not be permitted to participate in the hive inspection. No shorts, leggings, sandals, clogs or ankle socks.
5. Drinking water recommended.
6. Be aware there is always a possibility of bee stings.
